Methodist Men's News

Last month's fellowship meal and ice cream social was a great success. It was so successful that an apology is in order for those of you who had to resort to cheese sandwiches for your meal. Fortunately, there was plenty of homemade ice cream for all. We appreciate all of you who attended and especially those who brought guests. As John Mooney said, "The good old days were never any better than that Wednesday night! It was great to be a part of such a very special church fellowship and to feel and see such outpouring of love. What a privilege and joy to serve."

We want to thank the following women who brought homemade ice cream: Rita Mooney, Burley Richardson, Helen Busby, Karen Carter, Betty Brigham, Carolyn McDermett, Irma Standley, Jeannie Snyder and Betty Patterson. We would also like to say thank you to Berma Cox, Rita Mooney and Ella Grace Cousins for bringing cakes. One other person brought a cake, but regrettably, we failed to identify her. A special thanks to John Mooney, Robert Brown and R. D. Busby for getting everything together.

Please plan to attend the next fellowship meal scheduled for Wednesday, Sep 17th from 5:30 - 7 pm.

May God bless our church and the opportunities we have to get together in Christian fellowship.
