This group has been in existence since the early 1970’s, albeit meeting on different days and in different places over the years. It now meets at the Pillars to accommodate the several church members living there and as an outreach to the community. Meeting time is 10 a.m. Attendance ranges from 15 to 20, approximately half of the attendees being non-Methodists.
Jim Manning is normally the leader with others (usually John Hollimon) filling in from time to time.
The primary resource is recordings of Sunday School lessons taught by Dr. Thomas L. Constable, Chairman and Senior Professor of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary, at Plano Bible Chapel in Plano, TX in the late 80's and early 90's. Dr. Constable founded Plano Bible Chapel in 1966 while still a student at Dallas Theological Seminary.
The group is currently studying the Gospel of John.
