In 1970 a series of memorial talks was begun to bring outstanding speakers and leaders of the church to Crossett. The purpose was to deepen the spiritual life of the church and the surrounding community.
The series begins the Sunday before Ash Wednesday and runs through Tuesday.
There are a total of five messages: Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service and that evening at 7 p.m., Monday at a 11:45 a.m. luncheon and at 7:00 p.m., and a final luncheon on Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. The cost of the luncheons is $4:00 per person. A nursery is provided for all services.
The dates for the Guest Speaker series in 2010 will be February 14-16. Our speaker will be Rev. Beth Turner, sister of former pastor Bob Scott and a former associate pastor of current pastor Russell Moore. Her picture and bio appear below.
