Still Here - 11:06 PM

This is just a quick post to let you know that I'm still around. Been pretty busy lately, just finished up school until next fall but I'm gonna be out of town alot in the next few months so I won't be able to update the site very frequently. However, please send whatever news updates or anything else that you have via the available forms and I will add them to the site as soon as I recieve them. Have a great summer!

10 After The Hour Every Hour Rant (Translation: I'm Tired And Bored) - 12:10 AM

This is a quick reminder to everybody to take a few seconds out of your day and post in one of our bulletin boards, located by clicking on the words bulletin or board. This is a very easy way to get a message to the rest of the church if you're too lazy to submit it to be posted on this main page. Plus, if you happen to have nothing to do, what better place to do it than on the church website? Er that didn't sound right, I meant.. forget it. In case you lost the link in the message it is right here. Got it? And in case I'm being too subtle, why not try moving your mouse pointer over the blue words and clicking somewhere on this sentence? Don't make me come over there.

By the way, stop reading my fine print!! You know who you are.

Updatez d00d!! - 3:22 PM

As you probably noticed, there are several updates to the page to mention. You'll notice at the top of the page that it lists the Sermon for next week, in case you were curious. Aside from the news items below, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Prayer Request List, and Worship On Wednesday pages were updated as well. Enjoy!

Eagle Scout Court Of Honor - 3:18 PM

All church members are invited to celebrate with Alan Robertson at his Eagle Court of Honor. He will receive Boy Scouting's highest honor at that time. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 28th at 2:00 in the church Sanctuary, with a reception in the Fellowship Hall following immediately after. Lets all come and celebrate Alan's accomplishment during this special time in his life.

Divorce Recovery Group - 3:08 PM

It's not too late to join our first Divorce Recovery Group, but it soon will be. In order to strengthen the trust level of the group, Wednesday, April 25th will be the last day to join the group. If you'd like more information, you can contact Sherri in the church office.

Adopt-A-Resident - 3:03 PM

An Adopt-A-Resident Program is beginning at Pittsburg Nursing Home. Many of the residents of Pittsburg Nursing Home are in need of someone to spend time with them each month. That's why the staff of the Nursing Home has begun this program. If you'd like to be part of this great ministry, contact our pastor or call Jamie, Jean or Sam at Pittsburg Nursing Center (856-3633).

Mission Opportunities! - 3:01 PM

Meals on Wheels Needs You to Serve!

Meals on Wheels is desperately seeking volunteers in the Pittsburg area to deliver meals to homebound seniors who are depending on the delivery of their daily (and possibly only) meal each week day. The meals are picked up after 10:30 and take about an hour to deliver. Our church has volunteered to serve meals on Tuesdays.

If you can take a Tuesday (about 10:30am-11:30am) to deliver meals, please contact Kathy Wootten or the church office. If Tuesday is not a good day, but you would like to share in this ministry, contact Kathy as well and we'll help you get lined up to serve.
