After several long grueling hour.. minutes of painstaking work, I managed to increase the Youth section of the page by 60%! It now includes information on the various scouting programs that the church hosts. So uh.. check it out. On a related and slightly more eerie note, looking at my posting time from the last message and this one, it was exactly 5 days since my last update. EXACTLY. I don't know whether this is the doing of some wierd workings of my incredibly punctual internal clock or something.. far more sinister. Can anybody say Friday the 13th? Ooooooh. Um nevermind.

The presentation of "The Bible in 25 Minutes" by the Lon Morris College Drama Team scheduled for this Wednesday the 11th at the special time has been postponed for a later date because of scheduling difficulties. I assume this means the regular Wednesday night service time will be used. I say assume because I don't actually know. So at any rate, now we return you to your regularly scheduled web browsing.

Few Things - 5:12 PM

A few quick notes. I mentioned earlier that the web poll was down, well its back up again so look to your right and vote away! I added a set of pretty cool looking church logos (in my humble opinion) that I just made at the bottom of this and the intro page, so check them out.Also, I have twenty something pictures from various church activities ready to put up on the page under the fellowship section so they will be there for your viewing pleasure as soon as I get descriptions on all of them. Thats about it.

Got a letter from Alice Goodwin (our Worship Chairperson) about flowers for the church altar. Here's what she had to say.

Flowers for the altar area of the sanctuary are needed for the coming weeks. There is a calendar to sign to provide flowers for a special Sunday. If you wish to honor someone or pay tribute to someone, what better way to do it. Also you may wish to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary by providing altar flowers.

Please sign up on the calendar located in the hallway between the education building and the sanctuary, or call the office (856-2839) or me (856-6433). Thanks to those who have already signed for a Sunday.

National Day Of Prayer - 11:21 PM

Before I forget, I have this memo on the National Day of Prayer coming up on Thursday, May 3rd. Its on the activities calendar but here's a bit more about it.

Our church family is participating in the upcoming National Day of Prayer. Events are being held throughout the community and schools to share in the day of prayer. Our church is sponsering a day long prayer vigil from 6 AM till 7 PM. We're asking persons to sign up for 30 minute prayer times with two persons for each time slot. Prayer guides will be available.

Guess what? Only hours after opening this site to the public, I recieved this email.. amazing! Check it out.

A good friend of mine is a member of your church and his wife I believe is Chairperson of your Admin Council.

Tommy Goodmin and I attended High School together in Conway Arkansas many years ago. We now keep in contact thru a Yahoo Club site for Conway. Tommy told me about your church and I just wanted to check into your site. I certainly enjoyed myself browing through it. Steven you have done an excellent job of organizing the site and its contents.

Hey everybody. Here it is finally, a web site for the church! I tried to include everything I could think of offhand for the opening, but of course I can always use suggestions. Thats where the message boards come in. You can reach them in the Interactive section (along with some other cool stuff) and if you go to the Suggestions one you can post what you think I should add. The other sections of the page are more or less self-explanatory, but the only way to really know is to check them out!

Also, you will note that to your right there is a web poll. Really cool I think, and although it isn't working at the time of this post (the site is down or something, was working yesterday), by the time you read this it very well might be. I blanked on the topic of the first poll so its about the quality of the site. So at any rate, try it out! If you have an idea for a new poll when this one is done, send it to my address, gogo@earthling.net.
