Embrace Diversity
Our church welcomes and worships with a wide variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles. We wish to maintain and strengthen this wonderful diversity by making our church a place where all can feel God's presence.
Celebrate A Vibrant Worship Service
Worship is at the heart of what we do at First Church. We want to offer strong preaching and outstanding music. Our wonderful music program is a strength and a blessing. We would like to foster and enrich this program and make it an increasingly important part of our celebration of God.
Build Community
We would like to bring in new members and enrich current members' lives through small group experiences. We will focus energy on developing, guiding, and nurturing the progress of many different groups within the church, so that each individual may have a home at First Church.
Nurture Spiritual Education
We strive to provide an integrated spiritual education from infancy through adulthood. We want to direct resources towards strong educational programs and strong educational leadership.
Provide Witness
First Church has a commitment to witness for Christ in Pittsburgh and around the world. We want to commit our energy, our resources, and our prayers to outreach and social justice programs in our city and around the globe.
