Fellowship Groups and Activities
All-Church Monthly Dinners
On the fourth Sunday of each month, we have a social dinner following the 11 a.m. worship service. Students and first-time visitors are our guests; other attendees are asked to donate $5.
Small Groups
Each member or friend of our church has the opportunity to participate in a small group. Small groups help us get to know each other better and live as a church family. Small groups may be a neighborhood fellowship group, a service-oriented group, a bible study group, an issue-oriented discussion group, a covenant disciple group to promote spiritual growth, or any number of other kinds of groups. If you are interested in participating in or starting a small group, please contact Phil Gibbons or Elena Swann.
Health Ministry
Our health ministry team provides regular blood pressure screenings and other programs related to healthy living. Watch for events in the newsletter and weekly bulletins, and contact Elena Swann for more information.
Liggett Circle
This social circle for women meets on the first Wednesday of every month, September through June, for a brief meeting, some craft work, and a luncheon. Bring your own sandwich; beverages and a lovely dessert are provided, along with warm fellowship and conversation. Call the church office at 412.681.4222 for more information.
Annual Activities
Valentine's Square Dance
Square dancing is a fun event for many members of our church family,
and we gather for a dinner, dancing, and family fun every year on the
Saturday before Valentine's Day. Everyone is invited - previous experience
is not necessary!
Fun Fest
This outdoor festival hosts a giant flea market, including book,
craft, plant, food, and bake sales, along with activities for children.
Annual All-Church Retreat
Our all-church retreat occurs on a beautiful fall weekend in October in the Laurel Mountains at the Laurelville Mennonite Retreat Center. This retreat provides a time of group and individual reflection, fun, fellowship, and worship together in a spectacular setting. Contact Lois Cook for more information.
Women's Retreat
Our church women attend their own annual spring retreat at our United Methodist campground, called Jumonville, in the Laurel Mountains near Uniontown. Watch for information in the church newsletter or weekly bulletin.
