Childrens Ministry is also a part of Family Ministries. We provide a loving environment for ages 3 through 5th grade to learn more about God and themselves in our One Room Schoolhouse during the Sunday School hour from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Middle Schoolers and Senior High Youth have their own classes as well.
During our worship service at 9 a.m. on Sundays, the pastor invites the children to the altar area for a story and prayer before leaving the sanctuary for Junior Church, which is held downstairs in our Marketplace 29 A.D. Room. In Junior Church children ages 3 through 5th grade enjoy learning more about Jesus through singing, crafts, stories, and celebrations.
Child care is also provided during the worship service for those with a shorter attention span.
Youth Group
Sixth through twelfth graders gather weekly for fun, learning, spiritual growth and great fellowship. Contact Joel Coleman for information.
Young Adults
The Young Adults Class meets Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. Contact Joel Coleman for information about this class and other fellowship activities.
Disciple I, II & III
Bible studies which help build a more powerful Christian walk. Offered at various times as groups are formed.
JOYFUL Hearts
The Joyful Hearts are a group of women who get together the first Saturday of the month for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and once a month for book discussion or a program at a member's house. The contact person is Mary Burger.
Bowling
A group of seniors goes bowling on Tuesdays at 1:15 p.m. at Leisure Lanes. Contact George Ernst for more details.
Quilting
Quilters meet in Wesley Hall the second and fourth Thursdays September through May from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They also meet Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. September through November. Daytime quilters should bring a bag lunch. The coordinator is Betty Brubaker.
Music
The Senior Choir is always looking for new members. If you are interested in helping with this ministry during the Sunday morning service, please see any choir member or the choir director, Elinor Nicholas. Practices are held Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Men's Group
Meetings are every other Thursday, 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. All men are welcome. Coordinators are Tim Stewart and Greg Henderson.
Sewing
Women of the church get together to sew clothing for the Spring Ingathering. Sewing days are held on the second Thursday each month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Wesley hall. See the church bulletin for dates. Jean Roth coordinates this ministry.
