        United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women (and their predecessors) have been a driving force in denominational mission work. The FUMC-UMW have certainly continued that traditional role. Through annual pledges, new clothing made by the Sewing Group and monies raised by the Quilting Group, a variety of mission projects are supported from within the Millersville area to those in developing countries. Anne Haser is the President of the FUMC-UMW.

Millersville Area Meals-on-Wheels (MAMOW)

is an outreach program that prepares and delivers meals to the homebound. The meals are prepared and delivered from the FUMC kitchen by a corps of dedicated volunteers from the community. FUMC and its members were the driving force behind MAMOW's formation, in May 1988. FUMC member Cheryl Zegers is the MAMOW director (717-872-2415)

(Millersville Area Project)

Habitat For Humanity is an international organization that helps to build homes for those in the area that are in need. The Millersville Area Project combines the support and personnel of area churches and students from Millersville University. They have celebrated the completion of their second home. HFH (MP) holds various fund raisers throughout the year which FUMC helps to sponsor. Del Malcomb, Greg Henderson, and Connie Bear are the contact persons.



Millersville Area Emergency Food Bank

Food is collected for the Millersville Area Emergency Food Bank on the first Sunday of each month. FUMC members Gary and Diane Duell are the contact persons for the Food Bank.



Helping Hands

An outreach ministry to people who are in need of help on a temporary basis for transportation or their housing needs. On the first Sunday of each month there is a collection plate for Helping Hands in the Narthex. Questions should be directed to Joyce Addie.



Crispus Attucks Center

FUMC helps with clothes, cleaning supplies, personal items and some larger appliances for the Crispus Attucks homeless shelter in Lancaster City. The contact person is Mary Burger.



Prayer Chain

Prayer Chain cards are in the Ritual of Friendship pads. Please fill out the information requested and place in the offering plate. To activate the Prayer Chain, contact Truey Henderson.
