Well, they have come and gone those "Special Days" of ours. They are labeled: "Mothers Day" and followed a month later by good old "Fathers Day".
How much do these "Specials" mean to the sender or to the receiver? I have a sneaking feeling that they mean very little to anyone!
Before you put me on your "Black List," let me explain.
Years ago, I remember what a burden it was to run around the Card stores looking for the "right" card for the day. And, trying to pick an appropriate gift was even more of an ordeal!
Friends, I am not talking about Love. I loved my Mom and Dad as much as did you all, but I have always felt that love for Mom was best shown by giving her a good squeeze and hug. And Dad? My respect and love for him shown brightly when I went to work with the good old lawnmower (without being told).
So, next year when those so-called "Special Days" come along, be assured that those dear people so close to your heart love you dearly whether cards or presents arrive late or perhaps, not at all.
