And the Angel said, "Unto you is born this day!" (Luke 2:11)
Friends, please don't miss the above pronoun
A very surprising and very interesting response is made by Jesus to a question posed by a friend. The friend recognized Jesus as being someone special. His question: "I'm not a child any longer; I'm a grown man and a respected man. I'm a Temple officer, and in short, I am a very important person! However, between the two of us, God is a stranger to me! How can I know God? How may I reach out and feel that divine power that you speak of?"
It was here that Jesus followed with that wonderful classic statement,
"You must be born again!"
So isn't that what Christmas is all about each year for US? Isn't it telling US over and over again that WE are one of those persons who continue to reach out for our Creator? Isn't Christmas telling us that We can once again feel that blessed spring coming back in our step?
Sure it is!
"Unto YOU is born this day a Savior"
Thank God for Christmas Day, 1998
Merry Christmas, Friends
