How often we cheat ourselves. As we read the New Testament, we find Jesus -- but always in a crowd!
Looking back in this life of ours, we recognize that so many of our most pleasant moments came as we sat quietly with a friend over a cup of coffee.
While few of us trade confidences in groups, we find that we can draw very close to another in quietness with one another — be it friend or loved one.
So it is that we must realize that those kind of moments occurred in Jesus' ministry as well. While many of His words were said on a crowded hillside, we must open our mind and see Jesus sitting with a friend, holding his, or her, hand and giving such words of comfort and strength as:
"Life will always be a struggle, but you will also have great blessings along the way."
Don't be weighed down with many concerns. You will all come to that time in your lives when it will be said of you , as with the Prodigal son, "`when he came to himself, he said, ‘I will go back to The Father'"
Thoughts such as those were not shouted to a crowd.
