We are called “Mortals”, you and I. In the Science community, we are better known as “Homo-Sapiens”.
I have just recently stumbled upon the very disturbing notion that we all are a part of the Animal Kingdom! Can you imagine that, friends?
I don't know about you, but when I look at the “Nature” program on Channel 13 and see some of those very wild creatures flying through the air doing what wild creatures do, I look at myself and I wonder.
I love monkeys, and my cat too for that matter, but the thought that they are my kin — my relatives — well that really disturbs me!
Forgive me, Friends, but this is my way of telling you that we may just possibly be going through life taking ourselves too seriously!
Look around you, listen to the average conversations. To paraphrase Ecclesiastes, “Gloom, doom, Man, the world is ending tomorrow.”
Take a look at those beautiful Flowering Pear Trees and the early Spring flowers all around you. And our loved ones and our friends; look in their dear faces and be thankful people.
