Ours is a "Traditional Church for a Contemporary World." We seek to proclaim the historic Christian message in ways that will reach today's world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to help people discover and develop their Christian faith and then provide opportunities to be deployed in witness and service. David Fitzmaurice senior pastor Time changes I was up at 4 this morning ready to take on the world. The real reason was that I had some really good pizza and it was boiling over. I thought to myself, it's almost six, I may as well get up and greet the day. The only problem was it was 4:00 and not six. I'm not really an early bird. Six o'clock is fine with me. These time changes are a little disturbing because they mess up my internal clock. I'm told that I get another hour of daylight but I still can't find it. Anyway I was glad to greet the day with sun shining bright and beautiful. I am truly thankful for the beautiful days, especially after all the gloomy days of rain. There is a lot to be thankful. For Patty and me, serving First United Methodist Church is a real privilege. October was Pastor and Staff Appreciation Month. We are overwhelmed by the kind words and wonderful cards we received from so many in this church. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It is wonderful to be appreciated for the work we do. We want you to know that we also appreciate you and your devotion to Jesus Christ and His work. We have a great work to do and I am glad that so many in this church know and understand this. Please continue to pray for our church and its leadership as we seek to understand the vision God has for us.
