I think that we all won last night at the Springfield Cardinals’ baseball game. There were about 88 people who traveled to the game Sunday night. Part of our group was a little league team that some of our members belong to and we all had a great time. Fellowship is an important aspect of our Christian experience, and I would like to thank our Christian Father’s Alliance for providing us with this excellent opportunity. You can learn a lot about your fellow believers when you are away from the church setting. Sometimes we are so “churchy” that we don’t know what another person is really like. Hey, when you’re at the ball game you learn a lot about a person whether you want to or not. Like the hard rock head-banger I sat next to, the dippin’ dots man, the water/lemon girl, and the cheap one who never pays full price for anything. See if you can guess who they are. Also, we had a nice drive over so that we could share laughs and some good stories. It really is great to be with the people of God in all kinds of settings. We are definitely going to do something like this again. Have you been away from the church for a while? If you have, we really miss you, and we’re not the same without you. God really misses you too! As always, Pastor David P.S.– Just before press time, we learned that our life band leader Eric Lotz and wife, Jennifer, had Baby Callie at 12:09 p.m., Monday. She weighed 7 lb. 15 oz and was welcomed by her four siblings.
