Confirmation is open to anyone in 7th - 12th grades who aren't yet 18 years of age. Confirmation is when a youth makes the decision to become a full member of the church. the requirements to be confirmed in the church are: *attend weekly meetings which may have a small homework portion *attend weekly UMYF meetings *attend AT LEAST one church service a month *have a mentor whom you meet with on a regular basis *be an active member of the church through your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your service. |

Bell ringing requires the ability to read music -- but only your own two notes! Many bell choir members did not know how to read music when they started. It's a great way for folks who feel they can't sing to participate in music. |

Folks who love to sing are welcome, whether they can come every week or not, and whether they are First UMC members or not. Many people join the choir for one or both of the special events, the Christmas and Easter cantatas. |
