This Week’s Scripture Reading – Psalm 130: 5-6

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.

6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Greetings All:

I hope and pray that you are well!

I thought I would let Patricia Brown bring us our thought this week one more time. This little reading on Peace is from her devotional book Affirmations for Hopeful Living – it is the entry for October 17th.

Patricia writes

"Today I live in the waiting moment for God’s peace. Peacefully I not only accept but also celebrate the twist and turns of my life. I wait and trust God’s guidance and blessing each day.

My acknowledgment of the many things I do not control is the first step to claiming God’s peace. I may not be able to control everything, but I can help to control my attitude.

There is peace in my attitude today. Sometimes I can take action; other times I must wait and watch. No doubt peace may elude me time and again, but I now let my mind rest. I allow serenity’s moment to wash over me."

Thought for the day: Today I wait for the Lord.

Take care and God Bless.

Grace and Peace,

Francey Hooton
