Guest Speaker: Bill McCartney, Former CU Head Football Coach

Coach Bill McCartney

Bill McCartney attended the University of Missouri and played center linebacker for the school's football team. In 1982, the University of Colorado hired McCartney as head football coach, and within eight years the team won the Associated Press National Championship. McCartney then retired, choosing to spend time with his family and to pursue a closer personal relationship with God. Coach McCartney founded the ministry Promise Keepers in 1990, serving as President/CEO until October of 2003. Currently, he serves as Founder and Chairman of the Board of a ministry focused on God's heart for Christians and Jews called "The Road to Jerusalem.
