Jenny Arfmann   Dear Friends: “Welcome to our World!”- to paraphrase a line from an old song.  Welcome to the world of First United Methodist Church of Lafayette, where worship and care, vision and action characterize our life together.  Worship is at the center of our congregation life.  Each week we gather to focus our life together around the life of Christ.  Praise, prayer, music and reflection make worship a meaningful time for growth in our faith.             We know that ultimately worship, care, and vision must be expressed in action.  Some of what we do as a church is described on this web site.  There is also much more.  Please stop in and see for yourselves.  You are cordially invited to become part of this exciting expression of the body of Christ.   Together in Christ,
