History Preservation Committee

The History Preservation Committee was formed in November, 1998 at the meeting of the Administrative Board.

The purpose of the Committee is to find, sort, index, and store all documents and memoriabilia of the First United Methodist Church of Meriden, CT.

Committee Chairwoman is Sylvia Miles Guerin. Members of the committee are Ruth Roden, Betty Thomson, Joan LeBarron.

Norman Gelinas had graciously done the room construction. Archival boxes, files, folders & supplies have been purchased.

Dedication of the room and the archival materials was on October 17, 1999.

Anyone requiring access to the documents should contact a committee member.

Donations from members and friends are encouraged to offset the cost of construction as well as purchasing the necessary archival materials. Please send donations to the church office - note: History Preservation Committee.
