United Methodist Men

The United Methodist Men's Ministry's goal is for the men of the church to become friends, followers and fishermen.  Our spiritual journey is an adventure that inspires friends to becomes followers of Jesus, and followers to become friends.  Through outreach projects men become fishermen and servant leaders.

Men of all ages are invited to join.  The United Methodist Men meet for breakfast, usually in the fellowship hall, the third Saturday of each month at 8am.  A short program or work project follows the breakfast fellowship.

The United Methodist Men serve our church and community by volunteering for projects such as preparing the outdoor chapel for summer services starting on Memorial Day weekend.  At Advent, they set up the Christmas Nativity Scene, and during the year take on minor repair projects at the church.  This group also coordinates the sale of grocery coupons on Sunday mornings with the proceeds going to the church.  A social highlight of the year is the Annual Sweetheart Dinner which the men sponsor on the weekend nearest Valentine's Day.

A small group of men have formed a FaithWorks ministry and meet the first Saturday morning of each month at 8am.  Their purpose is to help those in our community by completing fix-up and clean-up tasks for those unable to complete them themselves.  This initiative was started late in 2003 and has accomplished many acts of kindness.  Men of all ages are invited to join with the FaithWorks group.
