Blessings Parent's Day Out Who We Are
Little Blessings Parent's Day Out program is a non-profit organization providing education and enjoyment to the children of our program ages 18 months to 7 years. The program is licensed as a daycare but uses a preschool format. We are regulated and inspected by the Colorado Department of Human Services and follow their rules and regulations. All of our teachers are qualified to teach pre-schoolers as defined by the state licensing procedures from the DHS and attend continuing education classes throughout the year. Children of approximately the same age are placed together in one of our 11 classrooms and are led by a teacher and a teacher's aide. Each day is structured with age appropriate and developmental activities to complement the theme of the day. A typical day will include: circle time, puppet story time, Bible story time, outdoor play, art & crafts, P.E. class, Spanish class, snack time, lunch time, table activites, learning centers and some freeplay. Our Mission The Little Blessings Parent's Day Out program is designed to provide toddlers and pre-schoolers with the necessary motor, educational and socialization skills for a smooth transition into the elementary school system. Each day is structured with new and repetitive activities in a safe and Christian environment to enhance these skills and provide enjoyment for the children. Schedule and Eligibility The Little Blessings PDO school year runs from August to May. Classes are from 9:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Two and Four day programs are available. Children between the ages of 18 months and seven years old are eligible for the program. Children 18 months of age must be walking on their own before they can begin the program. Registrations are accepted throughout the school year. If a space is not available at the time of registration, the child will be placed on a wait list. Open enrollment takes place in March of each year for the following school year. Fun Activities The Little Blessings PDO program does not take any field trips or leave the building premises. We like to bring the field trip to us. Some of our extra-curricular activities include:
