Activities for the Adults!

For the Men:
Methodist Men meet the third Saturday of each month for a breakfast and meeting or project. 
Join us from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Fellowship Hall. 

Sweetheart Dinner -
Each year the Methodist Men sponsor a Sweetheart Dinner for Valentine's Day.  Everyone is welcome.

FaithWork - A Men's Ministry Serving Jesus Christ.  A group of men get together for devotional and helping people in the community.  They will help with anything from moving furniture to painting.  Meetings are the first Saturday of each month at 8am.

For the Women:
United Methodist Women
UMW Annual Harvest Dinner - held in October of each year.
Cooky Walk - The annual Cooky Walk occurs in early December each year as a fund raiser for UMW.  Bakers we need all those yummy cookies and frozen casseroles of yours.  Buyers you buy an empty container for $4 or $8 and pick the cookies you want to fill that container.  Casseroles will be priced separately.
Love Circle - 2nd Tuesday of every month 12 - 3pm. 
Leah Circle - 2nd Thursday of every month 11:30 - 3pm.  Grace Hudson is the contact.  Also comes together for The Brother's Keepers group the 3rd Tuesday of the month to make sleeping bags for the homeless.  Need mattress padding and blankets for these projects.
Ruth Circle - 1st Thursday of the month. Diverse group of women interested in learning more about women of the Bible and the roles they played and how it can be related to today's time.  Lisa Andrews is the contact.

For Men and Women (Couples/Singles):
'Seek and You Shall Find' Sunday School Class - This adult Sunday school class is meeting Sunday mornings at 9:30 downstairs in room 107. Currently studying Paul the last Apostle chosen by Jesus and Salvation.  Our group of 12 to 25 Christians are about closer relationships and bible study.  From these relationships, people are touched, lives are changed through the love or Jesus Christ.  We as Christians know that followers of Jesus do best when they are part of a loving, encouraging, and equipping small group.  You are welcome to attend anytime and no study preparation is necessary to attend.

Contemporary Issues Sunday School Class - Video Series at 9:30am on Sundays. The video series now is an excellent series, "CNN Presents: God's Warriors".  Christiane Amanpour reports on God's Jewish Warriors, God's Muslin Warriors, and God's Christian Warriors.  Interesting and timely.

Spiritual Formation - Subject is Exploring the Way, class leader is Nancy Soo.  Meets in the Library at 9:30am on Sunday morning.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study - Everyone welcome!!  Every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11am in Fellowship Hall a group of men and women who enjoy reading and discussing the biblical message meet.  Currently studying "The Letter to the Hebrews".  This book of the New Testament offers a portrait of Jesus Christ as seen through the lens of the Old Testament.  Hebrews is thought to have been written to Jewish Christians encouraging them to hold fast to their faith in Jesus.  Rev. Jackie Hulett is the leader.

Meandering Methodists - A group that gets together for intergenerational activities. Everyone welcome!

Christian Fellowship Group - Senior singles and couples meet monthly for food, fellowship, study and service. For more information call Nancy Barker at 303-660-8746.
Time & Talent Auction  - Usually held in the fall this is a fundraiser for the church that is fun for all.  In the past donations included such items as fudge, washing windows, a days outing, a round of golf, Rockies game tickets, Bronco game tickets, Homemade bread or whatever makes sense to you. 

Disciple Bible Study - A comprehensive study of the bible to help you understand the meaning of Scripture and what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus Christ.  Classes usually start in the fall and end in the spring/summer.  Watch for the sign up sheets.  Disciple I is 34 weeks while Disciple II, III, and IV are 32 weeks.  Classes given each year depends on interest.

Advent Bible Study - In 2005 the study discussed what Advent is and how some of the Christmas traditions came about.   Keep watching to see what 2006 will bring.

Lenten Study - During the Lenten season there will be a 6-week Lenten study provided. 

Spiritual Gifts Class - This class is usually only a couple of sessions and will help you find the gifts/talents you have and how you can start to apply them in your church and everyday life.  Check the bulletin and newsletter for the next class or call the church office.

Marriage Encounter - A weekend away from home, family and responsibilities where in a comfortable, secluded environment a couple is guided in the discovery of new techniques of communicating and sharing with one another.  Contact Denny & Linda Pottenger, 303-688-3635, or Herb & Gail Rose, 303-688-4984, for more information.

Mystery Dinners - An opportunity to make and meet new friends in our church family.  You will know the host, how to get there and what to bring but you won't know who the other guests are going to be. 

Stephen Ministry - Stephen Ministers are the 'After People'.  They are there after the divorce papers are filed, after the phone call you hoped to never receive, after the pink slip is handed out.  Stephen Ministers are ready to come alongside you and provide comfort and support for as long as they are needed.  To learn how a Stephen Minister could help you or a loved one in times of need call Jim and Jenny Luallen, 720-733-9224 or the church office.

Care Task Force - A group of people who come together one night a week to talk in a confidential setting about how we can help church members or their family members during times of need.  This might include a visit, phone call or note of encouragement.  We also would appreciate volunteers to help with nursing home visits.  Please join us on Tuesdays at 6pm is you are interested.

Food Bank of the Rockies - Provide monthly volunteer labor to food bank which earns food credit for local Task Force. The group leaves from the church at 11:15am the third Wednesday of each month.  If you would like to participate please call 303-660-8746.

Habitat for Humanity - Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization. We welcome all people to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable, houses in partnership with those in need of adequate shelter.

The Heifer Project  - The Heifer Project offers hope worldwide to families who are poor and hungry by sending two each of 15 useful farm animals on a voyage where they are needed most.
