Attending worship, reading, a walk,
‘unplugged' from computer, TV, games, and families actually
eating together (ok—it might be around a favorite movie
or TV show you all can watch),
a simple meal with friends—a one pot dish.
call some folks that you haven't talked to in a while, or
check in on a family member.
write a letter—or send a few cards to those you don't have
contact with in the year
No work on Sunday—even if you are on the road with your
job, you can take some Sabbath time.
Just say NO to something that will mean you become overextended.
Stop and breathe before you say any ‘yeses'.
If you have a tendency to be sad or lonely at this holiday
season, reach out to someone else and spend time together—you
both will be heartened.
