The Spiritual Journey

Have you considered taking Sunday as a true Sabbath day?

What might that look like?

•  Attending worship, reading, a walk,

•  ‘unplugged' from computer, TV, games, and families actually eating together (ok—it might be around a favorite movie or TV show you all can watch),

•  a simple meal with friends—a one pot dish.

•  call some folks that you haven't talked to in a while, or check in on a family member.

•  write a letter—or send a few cards to those you don't have contact with in the year

•  No work on Sunday—even if you are on the road with your job, you can take some Sabbath time.

•  Just say NO to something that will mean you become overextended.   Stop and breathe before you say any ‘yeses'.

•  If you have a tendency to be sad or lonely at this holiday season, reach out to someone else and spend time together—you both will be heartened.

~ Quiet Communion ~

Come to Quiet Communion on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.,

and be stilled and centered by the music of piano and harp,

and be in prayer.
