Gathering
of Men
This
unique group gathers on the first Saturday of every month
for two hours of personal sharing and group support.
Built on the premise that there is much about our experience
as men that can only be shared with, and understood by,
other men, we work to create an atmosphere of trust and
deep care in which we can tell stories, expose wounds, and
wrestle with some of the loneliness, secret fears and enduring
hopes that go with being men.
Although its primary mission is to open men to themselves,
to others, and to God, the group adopts a large family at
Christmas, participates in the Rotating Housing program,
hosts an annual church barbecue, and provides leadership
in many other aspects of church life.

50+
Unlimited
50+
Unlimited is made up of men and women, age 50 and older
who come together for fellowship and fun in a variety of
activities throughout the year. There is no membership
requirement; all are invited. We hope to grow in
our sense of belonging to a caring community by participating
with others in casual, enjoyable events in a wide variety
of settings.
50+
is guided by a 14-person Steering Committee which develops
a broad and varied calendar each year based on ideas from
everyone who participates. The past calendars, for
example, included such events as taking part in a Hakone
Gardens Tea Ceremony, attending a San Jose Giants baseball
game, going to the Sunset Magazine Open House, and seeing
the wildlife at Elkhorn Slough. In addition, there
are opportunities for barbecues, potlucks, a Christmas party,
attendance at Stanford Theater for movie classics, and other
events listed on the calendar in the Fellowship Hall.
If you
are new to the church or thinking about becoming a member,
or if you are a long time member who has never participated
in the 50+ Unlimited, you are most cordially invited to
join in the fun and fellowship.
For more information,
call Bob or Betty Renfer, 248-8756.
Church
Family Camp!
The
All-Church Retreat is a wonderful opportunity for the entire
church family to come together to fellowship, study, and
play. Held in the Santa Cruz Mountains, there is
time for dividing into age levels, time to be all together,
and time to spend on your own or with your family.
