First United Methodist Church Preschool


The Cairo First United Methodist Church Preschool is committed to providing a safe, happy and developmentally appropriate place for children to grow and learn about God’s world. Our program is designed to help children develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually to their fullest potential. We help children prepare for kindergarten while encouraging an appreciation and awareness of God’s love.

Curriculum: We teach using the “WEE Learn” curriculum, which stimulates physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual development. This curriculum is activity based, provides choices, encourages creative expression, is biblically based and makes learning fun. Spanish and creative movement classes are also available to be incorporated into the curriculum.

Enrollment: Two and Three year olds must have birthdays on or before September 1st. Three year olds must be potty trained. Registration for the 2005 – 2006 school year will be held in early Spring of 2005. Enrollment will be open to church members first, then currently enrolled students and families. General registration is handled on a “first-come, first-serve” basis.

Tuesday & Thursday
Tuition: $80.00/month
Early-bird drop-off option: $15.00/month

3 year olds
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Tuition: $100.00/month
Early-bird drop-off option: $20.00/month

Classes meet from 8:30 – 11:30 AM
Early-bird drop-off between 7:45 – 8:15 AM
Pick-up between 11:30 – 11:45 AM
