The Way of Christ INTRODUCTION Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but by me." (John 14:6) All it takes to know God is the "desire." Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." (Matthew7:7) God wants us to find Him, and when we have the desire, He will do all the rest. Notice, that desire presupposes some activity on our part; i.e., asking, seeking, and knocking. The great thing is that God has taken the initiative in seeking us out. Everyone in the whole world is surrounded by God's activity all the time. God puts out lures for us everywhere. The following "Stepping Stones to Faith" are ways in which we come to know God. "The Way of Christ" is a journey or a pilgrimage that lasts our entire lifetime. These stones are guideposts to help us know we are on the right path and are not necessarily meant to be chronological, nor do they occur only once. Nor are they only for individuals, but these "stones" are also how The Church experiences the presence of God and comes to understand God's will for our lives.
