Worship at Friendship is a weekly celebration of the risen Christ in our midst. There are two services: 8:30am
and 11:00am. Everyone is welcome in our worship, including children of any age. We strive to make the experience
exciting for the entire Christian family. It is inclusive and engaging. We are a diverse congregation and, while
we engage challenging issues of the day, our worship gives everyone something that they can celebrate. Come explore
God's Word. Come sing with us. Come pray with us. Come laugh with us. Come hope with us, as we worship
side-by-side.
Each Sunday after the 11 a.m. service, there is a time of refreshments and fellowship in the fellowship hall.
Friendship Time is sponsored by one of the zones within the church. Generally, there is no Friendship Time
during the months of July and August. If you would like to have something special included during
Friendship Time (a cake to celebrate a baptism, special birthday, anniversary, etc.), simply coordinate it
with the leader of the sponsoring zone for that week. A list of zones and their weeks should be posted on
one of the bulletin boards in the fellowship hall and inside the cabinet in the kitchen marked "Friendship Hour".
"Happy Hour" is once a month after the 8:30 am service. This fellowship time began in order for those attending
the 8:30 am service to have there own "Friendship Time". This is also a good way for those who regularly attend
the 11:00 am service to come early and get to know those attending the 8:30 am service. Look for announcements
in the bulletin when "happy hour" is held each month.
The nursery for the 11:00 am Worship Service is now fully staffed by two lovely women of our church. They would be thrilled to have some 'clients.' Please feel free to bring your child (infant to age 5) to the nursery during the service. Hope to see some new little faces soon!
THANKSGIVING WORSHIP
Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 7:30pm
Please come to this joint worship service, which has become such a strong bond of friendship between Carter's and Friendship United Methodist Churches. Carter's will host the service; parking is often full, so you are invited to park along the street or in the Brought's driveway.
Happy Thanksgiving!
