United Methodist Men
The UMM at Friendship United Methodist Church is an active group which supports mission projects in the community, the nation, and the world, in addition to organizing activities for the congregation and community.
The men meet the first Saturday of each month for breakfast at a local restaurant, giving them the opportunity not only to plan their many activities, but also to enjoy a time of fellowship.
Among the activities sponsored each year by the UMM are the church picnic, an outing to a dinner theater near Valentine's Day, and a boat cruise and dinner each June. The spring and fall yard sales are a primary fund-raiser for the group, the proceeds of which are used to support mission projects, such as the purchase of Christmas gifts for children of incarcerated individuals.
