Free Union UM Church is an informal, family-friendly community church in the heart of Liberty Township. The 156 year old building is still heated by a wood fired stove in the colder months, making for a warm and friendly atmosphere which lasts all year. Vienna UM Church is located in a rural setting in Great Meadows and  recently celebrated 200 years of worship in the community. The Vienna UM Church Community Center is located in the heart of Vienna and provides  a food pantry. The field behind the Community Center is the location of the Summer Archery Program.

Following Pastor Jim's sharing time (Pockets Story Mark in Charge) with the children in the church, they will leave for their time of worship and Christian education in the Free Union Community Center. This week the children will hear the story 'A New Way to See', from the Jesus Storybook Bible, which is the story of Saul, who becomes Paul. After the story we shall have a prayer, and continue to practice our song 'Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God'. Archery

Archery will resume this summer on Wednesday June 27th 2012 at 6pm.

There will be six sessions this summer on the following Wednesdays 6/27/12, (Please note there won't be any archery on July 4th), 7/11/12, 7/18/12, 7/25/12, 8/1/12 and 8/9/12. The sessions will start at 6pm and run to 8pm.

Please note this summer there won't be any organized crafts, but everyone is very welcome to bring a crafts and materials to share. Every night of archery will be an open craft night. Please bring your own snacks and drinks as they are not provided.

This year everyone taking part in the archery will be expected to sign a hold harmless agreement, which needs to be signed in full. Without this, a child or adult cannot take part.
These will be made available on the church web site and sent out to the archery list nearer to the time. Children can only attend the sessions with a responsible adult. These sessions continue to be offered freely by our churches to the community.

Food Pantry

Our food pantry is located in the Vienna Community Center. The food pantry is desperately in need of cereals, tissues, toilet paper and paper productions in general as they are not covered by food stamps. If you can help Sharon with our food pantry at anytime I know she will be very grateful for your help.

Pancakes, Paper Products and Protein oh my!

While we enjoy pancakes at our Fellowship breakfast, let us remember some of those in our community that could use our help.  Perhaps this month, we might take a peek at sales or some extras we might have in our own pantries, then simply bring an item for the Food Pantry along to the next Pancake Breakfast.

Two items that are in need of replenishment are:

Protein:  Peanut Butter/Nut Butter and Canned Meat (remember Mayonnaise to go with Tuna (we have plenty of tuna at this time) or Chicken:)

Paper Products:  Toilet Paper, Facial Tissue, Feminine Hygiene products, perhaps even some reusable cloths or sponges?

Items such of these or others you might offer, may also be brought to church any Sunday and given to Pastor Jim.

For food distributions or to offer donations or help, please contact Pastor Jim Craig on 908 637 4340.
