2009 STEWARDSHIP EMPHASIS AND PLEDGE CAMPAIGN
"Conversations with Jesus: A Season of Stewardship"
This year, as we consider our stewardship* of our financial resources, and our financial support of our church, we imagine ourselves in conversation with Jesus - guided in our imaginings by what we know of Jesus from scripture.
From the “stumbling blocks” that trip up our faith (Mark 9:38-50) to how the story of the “widow’s mite” relates to us (Mark 12:38-44); from Jesus’ challenge to the rich young ruler (Mark 10:17-31) to wondering how blessings and good fortune look from Christ’s perspective (Mark 10:35-52); we will consider a broad view of how our relationship with God enters our “responsible management” of our lives.
Please consider these reflection guides as a gift and a tool; we hope that engaging these reflections might assist you as you seek to translate faith into action, in this area of our lives.
