One of our mission ministries produces "Ugli Quilts,"
warm blankets made from discarded materials.
At Flushing United
Methodist Church
we recognize the incredible needs
of our world and so were
committed to making a difference.
We provide ongoing opportunities
for mission support through both
financial giving and hands on
mission work, both around town
and around the world.
Here are some ways to get involved
and help out:
Operation
Christmas Child
Operation
Christmas Child sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations
around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and Christian literature.
This program provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages to
be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that reaches out
to suffering children while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas
Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift. Last year 6 million shoe boxes worldwide
were distributed to children in about 95 countries.

Through our Assist
Day funds
were able to help people in our own
community and our own congregation
find desperately needed help.
Through our support of United
Methodist apportionments weve
helped support missionary work
literally around the globe. We encourage
you to roll up your sleeves and join
in our very rewarding missions ministry.

wanted to find a church that
encouarged me to particpate in
hands on mission. Here I can
really make a difference."
