The United Methodist Women Organization of the United Methodist Church of Floral Park is comprised of both members and guest who has a desire to support the Church and missions throughout the world. Our meetings are conducted every third Friday of the month except holidays at 7:30 P.M. the location varies from month to month.

As a member of the United Methodist Women’s organization you are called upon to affirm and support the PURPOSE, which states: “The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”

We the United Methodist Women of The Floral Park United Methodist Church is proud of its long record in that for TEN CONSECTIVE YEARS we have received the FIVE STAR AWARD for accomplishing all requirements set forth by the New York Conference of the United Methodist Women.

This year (2004) we have added to our list of missions in that we spearheaded a drive to raise health items to make (92) health kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). We also conducted a drive to support our troops in Iraq in that numerous hygiene items were collected and filled over THIRTEEN BOXES each box weighing over ten pounds. In addition to these two new missions we continue to support: Bethany Methodist Home, Brooklyn United Methodist Home, Methodist Hospital, FISH (Friends In Support Here), INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network), United Methodist Center Far Rockaway, Women’s Advocacy Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, and the Protestant Services Organization.
