Sparks
The
Sparks are a wonderful group of children eager to learn
all they can about being good disciples of Christ. They
range from kindergarten age through 5th grade. The
Sparks meet weekly on Wednesday night at 6:30 PM and are
led by Sharon Deese. Cathy Baiden also directs
them in music.
The
Sparks host a fundraiser luncheon each year to help with
needed items for the Youth Ministries. Through their
hard work, they have been able to purchase a TV-VCR set,
kitchen appliances, and additional playground equipment.
The sparks always welcome new faces. Come see how
a tiny Spark
can get a fire going!
UMYF
The
United Methodist Youth Fellowship at Flag Springs is an
active organization containing students from ages 12 -
18. Our Youth Director is Lou Anne Younts.
The UMYF
participate in fundraisers such as salad bars, potato
bars, and car washes to raise money for trips to the
beach and to Christian concerts and plays. We try to
plan a time for good Christian fun and fellowship once a
month in addition to our weekly Wednesday meetings
at 6:30 PM.
We
invite anyone to join us in our Christian activities and
commitment to live for God.
Girl Scouts
Our
church also sponsors two Girls Scouts Troops. Troop 68
(Cadets) and Troop 50 (Juniors). These troops meet
every other Friday at the church at 4:00 PM. Our troop
leader for Troop 68 is Cathy Baiden. Leaders for Troop
50 is Janet Luther and Beth Thomas.
