We are proud to be a Stephen Ministry church! In 1993, our first leader was trained as a Stephen Leader. Then, in 1994, the first class of Stephen Ministers was commissioned. Since that time, twenty-two persons have been trained as Stephen Ministers. Many people have received the benefits of this unique ministry of sharing God's love and caring in times of need.
Stephen Ministry is a program that equips lay persons to provide one-to-one distinctively Christian care to those who are experiencing a crisis in their lives such as: loss of a loved one, serious illness or accident, divorce, loss of a job, etc. Stephen Ministers are committed Christian people who express, through their lives, God's love and care to others by visiting another person regularly and dependably and offering Christian support and concern.
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry that assures those receiving care that they can be certain that their identity and what goes on in the caring relationship will remain private.
