Tape
Ministry
The tape ministry is sponsored and financed by the Second Milers
Sunday School class. This ministry provides tapes (audio or
video) of the Sunday morning traditional service for the shut-ins or
those who could not attend the service. These tapes are delivered the
first part of the week after the service, or they can be picked up by
any individual for delivery.
We have and will continue to make tapes(to keep) for those who have
been inspired by a particular sermon or choir selection. If you would
like to have a tape for any reason, contact George or Ruth Dopp or
Frank,e or Ray Mowen. |

Nurture
and Outreach Committee
When the Nurture and Outreach Committee was formed, twelve Care Team
Leaders were recruited, each of who would serve ten of the 120
individuals/families at First Church. As new persons are added to our
fellowship, they, too will be cared for by a specific team. The team
leaders try their best to encourage and assist "their
people" when help is needed. Some example of their services
include providing a meal(s), arranging for transportation to a doctor
appointment, or providing adult or baby sitting when the primary care
giver needs relief. Services are provided by volunteers from the
church family who has placed their name on a list, ready when needed.
In addition, this committee sponsors a Bread of Welcome ministry.
Don't be surprised if a loaf of fresh-baked bread shows up at your
doorstep to say "You are welcome at First UMC." We
sincerely hope that the Nurture and Outreach Committee can serve you
in the future. |
