The Youth Ministry of FUMC is
for all Youth from 6th grade to 12th grade. It is a place where young people
can have fun, fellowship, and of course food in an environment of Christian
love and service. UMYF regularly meets Sunday nights from 4:30 P.M. to
7 P.M. We play games, share a devotion, and for $2 receive dinner prepared
by one of our many Youth parents. Beyond our Sunday night activity there
are plenty of other fun events such as: Movie Night, Putt-Putt Golf, Bowling,
making cookies for shut-ins, and talent shows. During the summer we go
to Camp in Leesburg and have traveled to Gainesville for tubing down the
Ichnetucknee. Our youth ministry is led by Ted Wright who became a part
of our staff in 2000.

Praise Band:
The praise band is
an extension of the Youth Ministry. There are no try-outs and anyone may
join. The praise band has been used in Prayer and Praise Services and Sunday
Morning Worship. The praise band practices every Wednesday from 5 P.M.
to 6 P.M. in the Sanctuary.
