SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Disciple Sunday School Class

     The Disciple Sunday School Class is a group of diverse ages.  We study the Bible and apply those principles to today's living.  The literature we use in addition to the Bible is the Adult Bible Study Series published by Cokesbury.  We meet at 9:30 in the church parlor.
 

Wesley Sunday School Class

     We meet each Sunday at 9:45 in the Church Library.  The materials we use are the Adult Bible Study Series.  Our class supports "Child Reach" each month.  This class is mostly composed of Seniors.  We welcome all new members and visitors!
 

"New" Sunday School Class

     The newest adult class begins to gather at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall to enjoy coffee, juice, and doughnuts.  Our class discussion officially starts at 9:45.  Recent series have included studies on Spiritual Gifts, Biblical themes, and current issues.
 

Wednesday Night Bible Study

     This group meets following our family night dinners at 7:00 p.m. in the church library for about one hour.  Books of the Bible and various study guides are utilized.
 

United Methodist Women Unit

     Community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus: to develop a creative fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.  Our unit meets four times a year on the second Tuesdays of September, December, March, and May.  We meet at 11:00 and share lunch together.  We also have two circles that meet monthly - the morning and afternoon circles.  All women are welcome.
 

UMW Morning Circle

     The morning circle of the United Methodist Women meets the first Tuesday of the month September through May at 10:00 AM in various homes.  Programs include mission work with women and children worldwide, national domestic concerns and Bible study.
 

UMW Afternoon Circle

     The United Methodist Women's afternoon circle meets the first Tuesday of the month September through May at 2:00 in the Church Library.  Programs focus on missions throughout the world.  Some of the previous topics of study have included the countries in Africa and the individual countries of Japan, the Philippines, and China.
 

Women's Bible Study

     This group meets for study, fellowship, and prayer on the first Monday of each month at 6 PM.  We meet in the homes of various members and each woman brings a snack supper to enjoy before our study begins.

Emmaus Reunion Group

     Alumni of the "Walk to Emmaus" spiritual retreats meet for encouragement, renewal and accountability.  This group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 5:00 PM, in the church library prior to the family night dinners.  On a larger scale, they are involved in the Heart of Florida Emmaus Community that sponsors men's and women's retreats in the spring and the fall.  For more information, click on the Emmaus website, http://www.upperroom.org/emmaus.
 

Couples Group Fellowship

     This group gets together for fellowship and parties several times a year in various members homes and at special community events.  They are notorious for their retreats at such places as Crooked Lake and the North Georgia Mountains.
