NEWS FROM FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, KIRKSVILLE

This will be information for the next two weeks as we won't send out one next week. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

November 15, 2007

DEVOTION FROM REV. JIM (written on Monday, November 12th)

WOW! Yesterday was indeed a WOW Sunday, as we remembered and honored our veterans worshiped with our choirs and heard from Charles Wesley in observance of his 300th birthday! The music was special, we love our choirs, it is always good to see and hear our handbells, and the children's choir "rocked the house" — a great big thanks and lots of appreciation to all who made our Sunday a WOW Sunday, certainly the fine meal and fellowship that followed was good also, thanks Nurture and Ed.

I look forward with you to doing our Church Conference Celebration with the Rev. Bill Koch, our District Superintendent, when he comes on the 19th (5:30 p.m.), and to the Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas experiences that God has before us.

See ya' Sunday for Thanksgiving Sunday!

Love in Christ,

Rev. Jim
