NEWS FROM FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, KIRKSVILLE

May 15, 2008

DEVOTION FROM REV. JIM

At the Administrative Council meeting (my final one of over 100 of them) we spent a little time giving and receiving reports of ministries of the various committees and church groups. Our Chair, Denise, commented as to what "wonderful" happenings were being celebrated, to which we all said, "Amen", and then heard and made plans for new wonderful things for the summer, such as several camps, VBS, Food 4 Kids, etc.

The bottom line is, we decided, that this is a great Community of Faith that God is in the midst of and in front of, with a great history and future, thanks be to God!

It has been my privilege to share a small piece of this great story for the past eleven years!

See ya' Sunday as we celebrate with our High School Seniors!

Love in Christ,

Rev. Jim
