NEWS FROM FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, KIRKSVILLE

December 12, 2007

DEVOTION FROM REV. JIM (written on Monday, December 10th)

The Ice is forecasted, the temperature is low, and to be lower, yet there is a warmth left over from yesterday's Cantata. A special thanks to all who gave us that gift for our Second Sunday of Advent worship. The ice could not and can not take that gift away from us, neither can it offset the excitement and the anticipation of all that God has before us. The spiritual forecast is good, there is hope for the promised "good news" that God, "In many and various ways" will be with us again and again across these sacred days and into our new year with God we will go as God's people!

See ya' Sunday for week three of Advent.

Love in Christ,

Rev. Jim
