Meatball stroganoff, vegetable, salad, dessert and beverage.


Cost: $4 adults, $2 children and $10 families.

Reservations are not required. However if you plan to come,
letting us know by signing up on the attendance pad or calling
the Church Office by Tuesday would assist us in planning.

WELCOME IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!
Our NURSERY is located in Alford Hall
(the building across the courtyard, south of the Sanctuary).
CHILDREN'S CHURCH during the 11:00 AM service for KG ~ 5th graders will take
place in Room 206. The children will be dismissed during the service.
SUNDAY SCHOOL is for all ages at 9:30 AM ~ 10:30 AM today and every Sunday in August.
See an usher to discover which class is right for you.
REFRESHMENTS are served in Fellowship Hall following the worship service.
PORTABLE RECEIVERS are available from the ushers.
PRAYER WARRIORS pray in the Chapel throughout the worship services,
and your prayer requests are prayed over for the next 14 days.
Today's Prayer Warrior is Eileen Sikes.

CHARGE CONFERENCE SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5
Please mark your calendars now. We will have one worship service and Pastor Herb Lange will be preaching, We'll have our Charge Conference and a church-wide potluck luncheon. This Sunday is also World Communion Sunday. We will be a great day of worship, church business and fellowship!

CHURCH-WIDE POTLUCK DINNER TODAY
We will supply chicken (yes, really chicken this time), beverages
and tableware. You bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share.

SERVING OPPORTUNITIES .

Our Mission Box this week is for funds to purchase school supplies for those in our church family needing help to get their children all the proper materials they need.

DITTY BAGS
Our United Methodist Women have put sample lists in the Narthex for items for children and adult ditty bags. Filled bags are due by September 30. Please call June Anderson for more information at 544-4558.

LAY SPEAKING MINISTRIES
The basic course in Lay Speaking provides a broad theological base and introduces the basic skills for speaking and leading. Topics will include God's calling and proclaiming the gospel through preaching, witnessing, teaching, leadership and service.

If you are interested in becoming a lay speaker, want more information, or need recertification, classes will be available at Riviera UMC on September 13 and September 20. Brochures with registration form are available in the Narthex.

SANCTUARY STEWARDS
We are in need of 3 Sanctuary Stewards. This ministry is responsible for straightening and replenishing the pewbacks once a week. This can be done on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Please pray and consider if this is a part in our church body you can do. Please call Debbie at 546-5741 x23.

BANNER MINISTRY
We need someone to take responsibility of being our banner hanger. Please pray about this also. God has a special place in the church body for each of us. For more info, please call Penny Traver at 521-2628.
