In Closing

Despite the stress and struggles endured during pioneer days, the oil boom, the Great depression of the 1920's and 1930's, the dust bowl, World Wars I and II, the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, the First United Methodist church and its programs are continuing to provide spiritual strength and support for its membership as well as to the entire community. After 125 years, the expanded and renewed building is a fitting tribute to all its membership who so proudly and loyally worship within its walls. It has been filled with traditions and mementoes of earlier pioneer days, and devoted members throughout the years. It is a place to worship and give thanks for His continuing blessings and love and grace.
