A beautiful new building was erected in 1895. It was a commodious frame structure painted white with a tall spire, a Sunday School room, and stained glass windows. It was truly DeLeon's most beautiful structure at that time.

It was built during the pastorate of Rev. A. E. Carroway. Names worthy of remembering in the construction of this building are: T.L. Gates, P.A. Gates, Charlie Gates, John J. Switzer, E.B. Walker, O.W. Whaley, Dr. J.W. Roark, Dr. J. W. Warren, Dr. R.H. Rush, John W. Gorman, L. H. Shannon, G.E. Garrett, Dr. C. W. Patterson, W.C. Streety, J.D. Hamm, J.T. Ross, and many others. Names still familiar to today's DeLeon residents began to emerge at this time.

The building was dedicated in the 1890s and the preacher on that occasion was Rev. E.A. Bailey, who had organized the church in 1876. What a happy day that must have been for him! Records do not indicate if any of the charter members were also present on that historic occasion.

The story is recorded that on that day of dedication the building was not yet paid for. In order to give every one the opportunity for the fullest expression of generosity and love, the doors were locked, and the amount was raised to insure the dedication of the building. DeLeon Circuit was made a Station in the year 1895.
