A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR......

The Body of Christ has many members with a variety of gifts. This web page exemplifies that familiar message from First Corinthians. Throughout these pages you will find an assortment of very special people: modern day disciples desiring and struggling together to better live out God's will in today's world. As a congregation we have made a covenant to support one another in faithfully following Jesus Christ.

It is not by accident that the doors through which visitors enter our church and through which we look out at the world are painted red. Red doors have long been a symbol of hospitality. It is through the red doors that visitors come and get their first glimpse of who we are and what we are about. It is at these red doors that we greet one another. It is by these red doors that many of us drive or walk each day. "Yes, that's MY church" we think with a feeling of pride and thanksgiving. Our sense of belonging is directly related to the experiences we have had here. Our spiritual lives are cultivated and nurtured. Friendships develop and deepen. Our sense of Christian social responsibility expands and leads us to service through mission outreach programs.

We cannot underestimate the power of God's Spirit as it works through us. For it is WE who are now called to go forth "from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and on to the farthest places..." to tell the story of God's love (the GOOD NEWS), to reach out and welcome the stranger, and to offer hope and help to those in need. There are never too many to do God's work. By using our variety of gifts and working together we make a strong Christian presence, and THAT makes a difference. I am thankful that as a visitor to this web page you are now part of our story!
