What Would Jesus Find
Jesus walked by a church one day A woman he did find He asked if he could talk with her Would she be so kind?
Jesus asked her a question Something he had pondered in his mind, “If I came to your house today, Would such things I find?”
Crayon marks on the tables Markers on the floor Could I step inside and get beyond the door? Would I find smashed cookies And paper strewn galore? Would I find an unholy mess Or maybe even more?
Thinking hard to what he’d said The woman made reply, At my house this day, No such things you’d find.”
Jesus sweetly smiled and gave a heavenly sigh “Then why when I come home I find such things in mine?” |
