UMW

United Methodist Women

The UMW sponsors programs during the year in which they learn about mission programs which they might be able to support in some way.  They are a small yet strong group because they are a part of the District UMW which of course is a part of the conference United Methodist Women.  They support the District with an annual pledge and they in turn support the work of the NYAnnual Conference UMW.  They have been designated a 5 Star Unit for 8 years and have received the Gold  and Silver awards in the Mission Today Program. 
Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month starting in September.  They start with a pot luck supper at 6:30, followed by worship and then the program at approximately 7:30.  A short business meeting concludes the evening.  All women of the church are invited.
