Lynette Spencer - My Sister
On October 13 at 8:45 a.m. I walked to the living room where Lynette lay in a hospital bed, to begin the days routine with her. I had meds in hand & something for her to eat already waiting bedside, when I noticed the smile on her face & you could see her at peace. I could hear the hum of the oxygen machine as it did its job; but getting next to her, I realized she had taken the oxygen off again & found it hidden at her right side under her hand & the blanket. She was a very independent person, liking to do things herself. So she did it her way, going home to be with Jesus while I was out of the room having breakfast and getting dressed. A big thank you to all who were prayer warriors for Lynette over these past 8 months. We always knew you were faithful to hold her up, it was felt, even when things didn't go the way we hoped. She was one never to complain much, no matter what was put before her. She said right up to the end she was going to get better & get back to work. Lynette knew the Lord and wanted most to be a faithful servant for Him, reaching out to help others. She was always doing for others in so many ways, it was evident in all we heard as friends and coworkers came to pay their respects. Thank you all for all the cards to her, she was always amazed how many people she didn't know, would take time to send a greeting to cheer her and lift her spirits. Thank you for all the cards for us, the food, the prayers, the love, and support. We know, as did Lynette, that a wonderful church family is always there when you need them. God knows when and who to send, at just the right time. God bless you all for being a blessing to us. Sharon & Eli
