The Rev. Mr. Charles Hofmeister, III really prefers to be called "Pastor Chuck," or just plain Chuck. He is kind of an informal guy who has only been a pastor since 1987. For 20 years prior to that he pursued a career in the business world, working for IBM, Merrill Lynch and Ohio Bell, mostly in sales positions.
    Pastor Chuck has been married to Gerry for over 3 decades and they have two married children. His hobbies include canoeing, fishing, camping and hunting. He really loves the outdoors and revels in the Creator's handiwork.

    In September, 1986 God called Chuck and Gerry into full-time ministry and in July, 1987 he began serving the Spencer United Methodist Church as their part-time pastor. The following year, Chuck left his secular employment to enter Ashland Theological Seminary as a full-time student pastor. He graduated with honors three years later and was ordained an elder in the United Methodist Church in 1993.
    Pastor Chuck came to serve Faith United Methodist Church in July, 1997. The focus of his ministry here is to challenge and empower the laity to exercise their faith in meaningful ways through worship, Bible study, mission and faith sharing. He enjoys developing leaders in the church and envisioning with them the future of the church as the Lord leads.
