ANNUAL EVENTS

CORN FESTIVAL In the great tradition of the Zellwood Corn Festival, each May we host an annual ham dinner with all the Zellwood corn you can eat. We also have an apple pie contest, bake sale, craft sale, outdoor games and door prizes. Our 2009 festival was held on May 16^th and we were pleased to welcome Truckstop Ministries as one of our featured entertainers. CRAFT BAZAAR Our third annual Craft Bazaar was held on April 25, 2009. We started off with a Blueberry Pancake Breakfast for which we sold over 90 meals!! Then we hosted over 25 area crafters and had entertainment on the grounds. Click here to see flier with more details. PUMPKIN PATCH The front of the church turns into a sea of orange when the pumpkins arrive for the month of October. Our pumpkin patch is open to the public and on weekends we arrange for storytelling, hayrides and face-painting for the kids. Also during the week, we arrange with local school groups, daycare centers, and retirement communities to have small groups come out for a tour, pick out a pumpkin and enjoy other activities. Click here for more information on the patch. TRUNK ‘N TREAT At the end of October and Pumpkin Patch we invite our church family and the community to bring their children to Trunk ‘N Treat. Church members decorate the trunks of their cars for Halloween, line up the cars around the property and hand out candy. For 2008, we had the Pasco County Fire Department as our special guest with musical entertainment by our own kids choir.
