WORSHIP THEMES – LECTIONARY READINGS
Sunday, April 27 - 6th Sunday of Easter & Impact World Tour (IWT) Special Offering; Sermon – “Sharing Our Faith: Impact World Tour (IWT)”; Guest Preacher: Mr. James Baldwin, Impact World Tour
Scripture – Acts 17:22-31; Theme – Today, we begin a new four-part sermon series on “Sharing Our Faith.” Through an extensive visioning process two years ago, our church discovered that we are weak in the area of evangelism and faith sharing. The purpose of this sermon series is to increase our passion to share the good news of Jesus Christ. For this first Sunday of our series, an ecumenical and global evangelism ministry, Impact World Tour, will help prepare us for a coming evangelism event this September in Xenia.

FISH PANTRY
The FISH Pantry is always in need of food and all of the support we can give them at this time. It would help if each of us brought some shelf stable food to church on Sunday and put it in the FISH pantry box. Boxes are now located in the Narthex and Community Center. It would be nice if we filled it to overflowing. Faith Community is known as “Faith Community Box Stuffing and Hamburger Helper church”! That doesn’t mean that you can’t bring whatever other items you choose, but if you are shopping, now you can easily remember our church’s special items. We appreciate anything you can donate, especially large-family size items, as well as monetary gifts. Checks should be made payable to Faith Community, indicate Xenia Fish in memo and/or on your envelope.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
Nursery Workers are needed for all times on Sunday morning. If you love little ones and would like to volunteer, please call Lee Rose in the church office.
CAMPBELL PRODUCT LABELS:
We will need the UPC code and symbol. Please remove the entire label(s) carefully and deposit them in the (Campbell’s labels) box in the Narthex. If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Sherer (372-2204) or Lorraine Hurley (372-7276).
Faith Community is still collecting Campbell product labels. We plan to redeem these labels for items to be used in Faith Community Pre-school. There has been a change in the part of the label we are to submit for redemption. Formerly, we cut out the front of the label. This has changed.
Join Xenia’s newest Venture Crew!
Venturing is a high adventure program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women ages 14-20. What a venturing crew does is limited only by the imagination and involvement of the adult and youth leaders and members of the crew – sail the Caribbean, produce a play, climb a mountain, teach disabled people to swim, or attend the Olympics. All these adventures and may more are being done today by Venturing crews. All that is needed are concerned adults who are willing to share a little bit of themselves with today’s youth—tomorrow’s leaders. Please join us on Thursday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m., at Faith Community United Methodist Church for an informational meeting, conducted by Tom Shultz. Or if you would like to call Tom Schultz with your questions, his phone number is (937) 372-9335, mailbox 1.
